With the notification in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) dated 18th January, 2010 of the names of candidates declared elected under the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, the Twenty-First Council of the Institute shall be constituted, in accordance with the provisions of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949.

CIRC Central Council Candidates Elected List for ’10 – ’12.
The ICAI will recount certain ballots on Monday before formally notifying the members elected to the 21st Central Council.
The recount has been ordered by the Rajasthan High Court for deciding on the members who will represent the central India region in the Central Council, sources said. About 92 ballots will have to be recounted, but that is unlikely to result in any change to the list of those declared winners in the earlier rounds.

Pursuant to the Orders dated 13th January, 2010 of the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan at Jaipur, the counting of votes, pertaining to the 21st Council from Central India Regional Constituency shall be held at 11.00 A.M. on 18th January, 2010 in the premises of the Institute at ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi – 110 002.
