Order under Section 119 of the Income Tax Act, 1961
On consideration of the reports of disturbance of general life caused due to floods and heavy rains, the Central Board of Direct Taxes, in exercise of powers conferred under section 119 of the Income Tax Act, 1961, hereby extends the due date of filing of returns of income for the Assessment Year 2010-11 from 30.09.2010 to 15th October 2010. Accordingly the due date for Tax Audit report u/s. 44AB of the Income Tax Act is also extended to 15th October, 2010.

Have u anybody seen the original notification in the official gazette which was issued by the CBDT
and some of the colleauges written as the extention was for corpoarte returns kindly update on the same.
This seems to be an hoax call. please do not trust this as the actual circular is dated 23.09.2010 as available on the Income Tax official site and is for J&K state only.

This file no. pertains to due date extended for Jammu & Kashmir
whether it is extended for corporate assessee or for all. By going through the order it seems that it is extended for all class of assessee
